ABOUT SWAND®
SWAND® began in 2000 while gazing at my yoga teacher’s altar, I noticed a cluster of candle tools. In that moment, I envisioned a single, beautifully tool, for candle care and ritual. Many twists and turns, and pauses, the idea of a beautifully design candle tool was still close to my heart, and was ignited while mentoring a group of female entrepreneurs at Virginia Tech. The super wand, that looks like a Swan, SWAND® was born!
My journey to manufacture SWAND® was filled with challenges and tough decisions. However, after two years of unsuccessful attempts in Portugal, Los Angeles, and Korea, a contact led me to a small factory in China. There I witnessed their commitment to human rights, ethical practices, and craftsmanship. In China I found a partner that aligned with my values of sustainability, and fairness. A partner that could manufacture our patent-pending design with integrity, leading SWAND® to market that truly embodies the heart of my brand’s mission.
